Evaluate articles

Utopia Documents reads opened articles and tries to discover as much extra information about it as possible, presenting this in the sidebar as a summary.

How to evaluate an article…

When an article is opened in Utopia Documents its content is read and the process of identifying it begins. If the article is found to be in various public repositories, links to these are presented. These links are then used to gather as much extra relevant information as possible from a wide variety of sources.

Depending on the article loaded, this extra information can include:

  • How to cite the article in other work
  • What other people are saying about this article
  • What rights you might have to copy or archive the work
  • Publisher-specific information such as download statistics
  • The article's full bibliography
